Project
R.O.G.E.R is a therapeutic Serious Game developed by researchers and neuropsychologists from hospital Erasmus (ULB), Fishing Cactus, Aepodia and Multitel.
The central goal of the project is to develop virtual reality environments.
The software and its platform allow people with cognitive impairments to interact in an immersive, engaging and realistic virtual environment.
In the virtual environment, the user will "play" scenarios, close to the activities of daily life. These situations are scenarios created and established by cognition professionals (neuroscientists, therapists) using an ergonomic scenario editor (use and simplified programming) in order to stay as close as possible to the reality of the practice (clinics or research centers). The software also helps to stay close to the reality of the patient, close to his environment and his daily activities.
In neuropsychology, these activities are described as "ecological".
